Steven A. Doyle has been serving full time as an Evangelist / Teaching Pastor for over 35 years. His love for all people is evident in His pastoral ministry and his heart for young people has particularly been fleshed out in his service as the Director and/or Staff Counselor for Christian Youth Camps in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and in the United Kingdom.
Steve received his degree in Bible and Practical Ministry at the Bristol Road School of Biblical Studies (a satellite of Rochester University) and did post graduate work in planting and strengthening churches in Scotland, England, and Ireland from 1989-1994. During this tenure, he was affiliated with the British Bible College in Corby, England and was the Membership Convener for Scotland's #1 Hospital Radio Station. Upon returning to the United States he accepted the position of Teaching Pastor for the Church of Christ in South Lyon, MI from August 1994 until coming to Rockford in September of 2004.
Steve is a dedicated husband and father. He has been happily married to Nina (McKinney) since 1975. They have two married daughters and 3 grandchildren. One of his greatest joys is that they have all personally accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Steve believes with all of his heart that not only is Jesus the only way to have eternal life in heaven, a personal relationship with Him is the key to a fulfilling and productive life now. He is devoted to helping others to develop such a relationship.
In the late spring of 2021 Zach and his wife Nadia along with their daughter Calli, moved from Zach’s hometown of Rushville, IN to Oregon, IL, to follow Nadia’s career and be closer to Nadia’s family. Zach had previously served in ministry for 7 and a half years before they moved and after nearly two months of soul searching God laid it on Zach's heart to continue in vocational ministry. And that is when God led Zach to Calvary.
Zach Dorrel has been serving with the children and students in the Church since he himself was a student. He has always just been a big kid himself. He loves to have fun but loves to see students take ownership of their own faith in Jesus. And that is what drives his ministry.
Zach loves being active in many different ways, from taking frequent walks on the sidewalk to hiking the mountains of Arizona. When Zach is not out and about you may be likely to find him at home working on wood projects. He also loves to build relationships and friendships. So if you want to get to know him just ask and he would love to go get coffee or a bite to eat.
